Where to go to get your child vaccinated

If you live in England:

2 - 3 year old children

can get their free flu vaccine at a GP or Pharmacy. Book a slot in your local area via the NHS.

School age children (4 -16 years old)

can get their free flu vaccine at school. You will need to complete a consent form.

Search and click on your area to complete your NHS School Age Immunisation Services (SAIS) consent form.

If you do not want your child to receive a free flu vaccine at school, please still complete and return the consent form to confirm your decision.

Steps to follow so that your child can get the free flu vaccine at school:

Fill in the consent form sent by your child's school. If you haven't done so already, click here to complete today

If you accept, a trained nurse will vaccinate your child at school on their immunisation day.

If you don't want your child to be vaccinated it's still a good idea to complete the consent form to ensure your decision is clearly documented.

Scotland

Pre-school Children

Typically, in Scotland, most Health Boards and Health and Social Care Partnerships (HSCPs) provide the flu vaccine to preschoolers. You can look up your local NHS immunisation team who can provide more information.
